We at Girl.Gloss.Ophy are proud to welcome Olympian Oceana Mackenzie as our Inspiring Ambassador to our family!
Oceana is the first female Athlete to represent Australia in Sport Climbing at the Olympics.
Oceana aged 19 is the youngest of her six sisters who were Home Educated.
She was born in Germany (her parents from New Zealand) moving to Melbourne when she was young.
Oceana grew up having a great relationship with her family and these memories often inspire her as she achieves her goals.
Oceana would go to the climbing gym with her mum and sisters, " I was too young to climb so I was always climbing all over the short walls without a rope trying to sneak in more climbing, eventually I got old enough to join the squad."
Going into the Olympics, Oceana was ranked 18th in the world, she placed 13th in speed, 18th in Bouldering and 19th in Lead. For Oceana she believes in being positive and looking at the "Bigger Picture"
